Cap-Chat

The tallest and most powerful vertical-axis wind turbine in the world towers over this municipality nestled between the sea and the mountains. You will also inevitably notice the 76 wind turbines rising out of the landscape. The Le Nordais wind park has 133 wind turbines in total.

Cap-Chat also has a tourist and recreational site, a sports complex, an outdoor activities center and a majestic salmon river. Located at the town's entrance and before the wind park, the Capucins rest area offers a unique perspective on the energy of tomorrow. Upon exiting the town and crossing the bridge, you'll find a rest area with a pedestrian walkway that leads to a beach and provides a sweeping view of the Chic-Choc mountains.
